Payments

  • Your payment must be posted in our office on or before 3:00 pm on the 4th of each month as indicated on the front of the bill. Please allow adequate time for delivery when mailing payments. Payments not received due to non delivery through the postal service are the responsibility of the customer.
  • The due date on your bill is for your current charges and will include any previous unpaid balance. If you have a previous balance left unpaid for over 30 days, even if the current charges are paid in full, your account is subject to cut off.
  • Failure to make payment as stated above will result in termination of service. Unpaid payments in full will be subject to collection services.

  • If you cannot pay your water bill due to hardship, you may call the office at 423-743-6202 for arrangement information.

Fees

  • Late payment penalty is 10% of due charges (beginning at 3:00 pm on the due date).
  • The fee for turning water on after being disconnected due to late or non-payment is $75.00. After normal business hours, and additional fee of $35.00 will be assessed to cover travel and overtime.
  • Returned unpaid bank drafts or checks are subject to a service fee of $30.00.
  • A processing fee of $1.00 will be assessed to payments made without the return portion of your bill.
  • Damage to or tampering with the meters or any other property of the utility is not tolerated and will result in a tampering fee of $750.00.

Adjustments

  • Bill adjustments are available by written request to the manager and is conditional upon repair of the leak by the customer.
  • Customers may receive only one adjustment per calendar year.
